Abstract: This article focuses on the presence of the troubadours in the Trésor by doctor and polygraph Pierre Borel, born in Castres. By quoting them he tries to make their reading, as well as modern Occitan writers, more accessible. Thus he appears as a pioneer in his usage of troubadours in order to demonstrate how noble the spoken and written language Occitan of his time was.
