Abstract: The work of Georges Bataille involved a new approach to addressing a number of issues concerning the history, religion, death or subject. The article aims to bring together passages of his work that are related to the ancient Mexican cultures, mainly with Aztec and show the coherence and continuity of the various theoretical elements of his work incorporating some testimonies of traditional Mexican cultures, not included in the work of Bataille, but that can serve to corroborate his thought.
