Abstract: The search to identify the author of the Réflexions begins with a letter from the author to R. Leers dated 1715 and signed Delaube. The analysis of the text reveals a formula borrowed from Terrasson’s Traité de l'infini créé, which was unpublished at the time, but which was the subject of a presentation to the Academy of Lyon in 1715. If Terrasson cannot be taken to be the author of the Réflexions, this trail leads us to take a closer look at Camille Falconet, a close friend of Terrasson’s from 1707.
