Abstract: Henri Estienne’s work, translated here for the first time from Latin into French, includes two parts: De Latinitate falsò suspecta, a commentary on linguistic equivalences between Latin and French; and De Plauti Latinitate Dissertatio, an introduction to Plautus’ language and editorial issues.
