Abstract: The British writer Wilfred Owen, killed at the front in November 1918, left behind a powerfully evocative œuvre. Refusing all patriotic propaganda, he presented the war as a veritable cataclysm. A cry of revolt and a song of mourning, a celebration of those who had fallen, his visionary and musical poetry gets to the heart of the sufferings endured and the questions incited by the carnage.
