Abstract: In his publication of the Miroir in Geneva, the printer Jean Girard gathers together translated reformed prayers and the queen’s poems. He signed a preface who commends Marguerite’s spiritual gifts. This original “Christian” Genevan booklet is issued in the same year as Marie Dentiere’s Epistre tresutile. From then on, Jean Girard revealed thus himself as a feminist printer devoted to the edification of all real faithfull, but especially concerned by an audience of “dames de noble cueur”.
