Abstract: The case of abandoned scripts only adds to the initial statutory deficit specific to any screenplay. If we admit that Valéry considered, among other solutions, to turn L’Isle sans nom into a script, we can then see in this project an exemplary case, incomplete as a text and unfinished as a work of cinema.
