Abstract: Obviously the play project was an adventure that was personal as well as textual. Examining the leaflets alongside the Cahiers and the correspondence implicitly leads to an investigation of the private and/or event-based factors that influenced the scenography of this “tale” that is very much anchored in reality and whose evolving title is revelatory. The uncertainty surrounding possible answers adds to the interest aroused by this project and its abrupt abandonment.
