Abstract: The aim of this article is to present the perspectives offered to architectural research by recent work in the “history of construction,” and more broadly in the history of science and technology. After a presentation of what the “history of construction” encompasses since the 1990s, the article develops some thoughts on themes shared by architectural research and by the history and sociology of science and technology.
