Abstract: It is opportune to ask where the history of construction could and should be heading. In doing this a more precise definition of construction history is essential. What is required is a serious reflection about its essential aims, and its efficacy. Construction history could open up as an epistemological medium for the highly technological world with its development over thousands of years, the world in which we live today and tomorrow. Construction history turns to not less than a technical anthropology.
