Abstract: The Italian history of construction has particular characteristics in terms of the use of reinforced concrete and structural mechanics. The SIXXI project aims to “do the history” of this school and study the context of its development. One of the reasons for the delay in this historiographical reading comes from the fact that engineers attribute less importance to history. However, this material history is essential. The SIXXI project uses photography to tell and transmit this history.
