Abstract: The interview, a prolific genre in the seventeenth century, retained its vitality throughout the eighteenth and the following centuries, which have been marked by modern journalism and new forms of communication: radio, television, the internet. Why has the genre remained so successful over time? The studies gathered in this volume provide some answers to this question.
