Abstract: In The Last hero, classical reference is a structural element giving basis to an interrogation about, and renovation of, the genre of light fantasy. Discworld, « world and mirror of worlds », allows Terry Pratchett, through jubilant laughter, to raise the same questions about human condition as once raised by ancient myths.
