Abstract: Ronsard connects vegetal to loved women with the myth of metamorphosis and through onomastics. This article provides an opportunity to question the poetic status of the genre of hymnes-blasons, to study poems associating erudition and imagination, and to identify ideas, emotions and symbols that are attached to the combination of botany with women.
