Abstract: This article looks at a copy, kept in Munich and until now unreported, of the Hippocrate-Galien edited by Rabelais (Lyon, Gryphe, 1545). It contains a long note in handwritten Greek by Melanchthon, dated 1547. The study sheds light on the reception of Rabelais’s scholarly works in contemporary Germany. A place is given to examining the copy’s different sources.
