Abstract: This article attempts to resituate the only known edition of L’Isle Sonante printed in Tours in 1562 in its editorial context (through the assembly of a corpus of pirate editions printed by Jean Rousset), as well as its historical context (widespread religious unrest in Tours as part of the French Wars of Religion).
