  • Abstract: This note proposes to add to the vast readings of Rabelais a little-known source, Andrea Ammonio, a fifth-century Aristotle commentator, who had been foreseen by Rabelaisian critics. Thanks to the study of notes in the margins in two editions of Plato from the Aldine Press, which belonged to Rabelais and were kept in Montpellier, I propose to contribute new elements to the theory of the sign in Rabelais’s work, and to the episode of frozen words. This work does indeed contain a reflection on logos.
