Abstract: In 1532 Rabelais published Hippocrates' On Regimen in Acute Diseases in Guillaume Cop's translation, entitled De ratione victus in morbis acutis. This study offers a typology of the 203 printed titles Rabelais inserted in the margins of this translation, and attempts to identify his sources and tools, particularly Galen's commentary on this treatise, which was translated into Latin by the physician Jean Vassès de Meaux and published in Paris by Simon de Colines in 1531.
