Abstract: Marie-Thérèse Maiorana, a French teacher in Argentina and a great admirer of Maurice de Guérin’s work, wrote in the 1950s to the Amitié guérinienne’s Abbé Decahors to inquire about a doctorate on our writer. After receiving a favorable answer, she enrolled at the University of Toulouse and obtained her doctorate in 1953. At that time, she created a branch of our Society in Buenos Aires, where she gathered fervent readers of the Guérins every year.
