Abstract: This article points out in the Rêveries the paradoxical expression of happiness, an indescribable feeling that may well entail the loss of the Subject. It is through writing that Rousseau prolongs this state, expressing, at times, a fusion with the world (Second Walk), at others a strengthening of the Self (Fifth Walk).
