Abstract: Jean-Paul Michel’s work invites us to meditate on what is reflected in it: the “foundational ceremonial and sacrificial status” of poetics, the desire to “place being so that it faces itself” and in this way open oneself “to the fresh vigor of a daring relationship with the poem” akin to a relationship with “surprises” themselves and subject to “what is.”
