Abstract: This testimony is from one of Jean-Claude Pirotte’s first editors. Pierre Drachline speaks of the originality and evidence of a style which imposed itself, from the Journal moche onwards, as an insomniac voice, a melancholic voice, despairing, ironic, and resistant, as a “poacher of letters” conversing, in a minor key, with those moochers of the margins, Dhôtel and Henri Thomas – the voice of a singular writer beyond comparison.
