Abstract: Henri Etienne’s work forms part of a long process of discovering Seneca—a process begun at the start of the sixteenth century—while at the same time presenting a completely new approach, both in terms of philosophy and aestheticism. This edition of the text, followed by a translation and enriching paratext, gives us access to the author’s “joy in learning.”
