Abstract: The figure of the Amerindian recurs throughout Québécois literature for young people. Until recently, it was confined to a supporting role, ensnared by stereotypes. Recently, authors have become interested in using it to stage issues that are peculiar to it. This analysis consequently focuses on four works for adolescents published between 2005 and 2014, lenses through which the representation of the figure of the Amerindian and its relationship with the environment and the world of Whites is studied.
