Abstract: This book pursues the enquiry of Huysmans avant Dieu. For the converted writer, the quest for meaning encompasses the search for a place of intimacy and sovereignty. Between contentment and disgrace, Huysmans retraces the chaotic journey towards this place in seven tales, to which God gives his name.
