Abstract: Progress in the knowledge of Marivaux concerns in particular his biography, his editions, his translations, the study of his language and, for his theatre, the material conditions of creation, reception, programming and actors. There is still a need to make progress on the Oeuvres de jeunesse, and on music and dance. Access to immense digital resources (contemporary works, correspondence, diaries, registers) promises new discoveries. Collaborative work is making research more dynamic.
