Abstract: The theater program has several functions, which sometimes interfere. Its contents may vary according to the needs of the institution, the artists’ requirements, the audiences’ expectations. How should one introduce a show without anticipating the spectators’ perceptions, so as to enlighten their judgment without influencing their verdict? A few thoughts based on the experience of the author, who has been supervising programs at the Odéon for 25 years.
