Abstract: A pianist, composer, and show creator, Caroline Barbier de Reulle holds an agrégation in music and a diploma of the Conservatoire national supérieur de musique et de danse de Paris. Her doctoral thesis (University Paris-Sorbonne, 2017) is entitled Salvador Dalí and Music. Her work mainly studies the relationship between music and other arts.
In this interview, Marion Coste discusses the issues related to her position as “dramaturg” and researcher during Aliénor Dauchez's stageing of the opera Votre Faust (music: Henri Pousseur, text: Michel Butor). The questions address the work with the contemporary music ensemble TM+, the way in which Marion Coste's dramaturgical role affects her position as a researcher and the mutual influences between performance and research.
