Abstract: Jean-Pierre Léonardini joined L'Humanité, the daily newspaper of the French Communist Party, in 1964. His reputation quickly spread beyond the circle of readers of “l’Huma”, and his theater chronicle has spanned almost half a century. He tells us about his critical viewpoint, his approach to the stage, the relationship between immediate perception and memorial reconstruction, and style as a necessary tool to convey a certain idea of art.
