Abstract: The history of the publication of Mozart’s Sinfonia Concertante allows us to understand how music scores were published in the past. This article examines editorial principles and the conflicting viewpoints that they involve, as well as looking at how editorial principles have changed from Mozart’s lifetime to our era. It examines the systematic character of variations.
