Abstract: The College of Navarre opened its doors in 1315; it closed during the Revolution. Its long history has made it one of the most well-known university campuses in Paris today. The College of Navarre, however, was unlike any other: it was an institution protected and financed by royalty. Welcoming students of all ages destined to fulfill roles in the kingdom, it gave them exceptional training, and theater was a part of it.
