  • Abstract: In 1533, the sister of the King, who supported by the Reformation, was mocked on the stage of the College of Navarre. In 1572, the very recent massacre of Saint-Barthélémy was lauded four times on the same stage. The texts performed on these two occasions were not preserved but detailed accounts have made up for their loss. These partially unknown accounts allow us to observe the intersections between a theater permeable to current events and contemporary debates or events.
