Abstract: Civic entries in western France (for kings and queens as well as for dukes or counts) were an opportunity for festivities such as theater, which played an essential role from the fifteenth century onwards. The development of this political and social medium involved several writing processes (collective design, recruitment of qualified personnel) and reveals the varied forms and degrees of authorship.
