  • Abstract: This article criticizes the notion of dematerialization by exposing the links between natural resources and digital terminals, such as the Congolese ores (DRC) that are indispensable for the production of connected devices. The digital economy and the mining industry are both based on extraction (of personal data and raw materials), to the point of establishing a new extractivist paradigm typical of the beginning of the 21st century that will be technological.
