Abstract: Of all the discourses that have accompanied the development of information technologies, transhumanism is one of the most extreme. A prophetic narrative with explicitly eschatological overtones, transhumanism seems to don the secular garb of a whole religiosity oriented towards the revelations of technoscience where man, as a true demiurge, would gradually be led to take control of his own evolution and of the world surrounding him.
