Abstract: Digital Studies cannot remain a niche subject on the outer edges of traditional academia. Another name for Stiegler’s theory of ‘general organology’, it is a paradigm for the reinvention of the humanities – and of the university as a whole. The study of the interrelation of tools, the rules governing their adoption, and the humans whose invention they condition, its objects are disadjustment, redemption, and the institutions.
