Abstract: This article considers three parameters to question the value of Wikipedia's text in relation to print: the links between text and author, the status of this text as a social act and finally its incompleteness. By showing that these variables contribute to revaluing text in digital space, it is proposed that the open character of Wikipedia text generates tensions that are still persistent between the value regime of the book economy and a textual economy based on open principles.
