  • Abstract: Far from being an unequivocal moment of dogmatic and an overarching imposition of a new order, the revolutionary period witnessed long and intense debates on how human rights should be conceived. The present dossier therefore aims to return to certain ambivalences and equivocations within the conceptualization of human rights, at the heart of revolutionary debates, in order to distinguish the competing conceptual threads that can be drawn from them.
