  • Abstract: This article deals with the question of intersubjectivity, more specifically with the problem that this question raises within the phenomenological tradition, for which it seems necessary to break through the limits of consciousness in order to account for the other. This question is addressed through the reconstruction of the pre-hermeneutic theory of intersubjectivity that Paul Ricœur coined in the 1950s, combining the phenomenological approach with an ethical perspective.
