Abstract: This special issue deals with the political ideas developed by different authors, and which have their source in the commentary of texts inherited from the Greeks, or in government knowledge developed from the beginning of Islam. It seeks to underline the richness of these intellectual traditions, whether purely philosophical, juridical-theological or historical-literary and proposes to make their contents known to readers, by renewing the reading of the political themes and issues they contain.
