Abstract: This article attempts to “perform” Derrida’s writings about the teaching of philosophy (collected in « On the right to philosophy ») in a new context: the debates about the introduction of a philosophy course in both primary and secondary education in the French-speaking region of Belgium. This reflection on the teaching of philosophy seeks to show that at stake are not only pedagogical and didactic issues, but, more essentially, philosophical ones.
