Abstract: This paper presents two issues published by Éthique, politique, religions dedicated to the transformation of the concept of war from 1914 to the 1930s. It analyses the important question of the limits of war in this context. It shows that the issues of this question are not only legal and political, but also concern social thought, human existence, and epistemological conditions of thought.
