Brief Note from the New International President
I am honored to have been elected by the General Assembly of the ICLS at the 15th Triennial Congress in Lexington, Kentucky to serve as President of the society for the next term (2016–2019). It has been a privilege and pleasure to serve the membership of the ICLS over the past several years as Vice-President and as Editor of Encomia. I thank the outgoing President, Richard Trachsler, for his years of valuable service to our organization. It was a joy to work on the Executive Committee under his leadership.
On behalf of the society, I wish to congratulate and thank Gloria Allaire and her assistants for organizing a successful congress in Lexington in 2016. The excellent sessions, the exciting excursions, and the elegant closing banquet highlighted the activities during our time together last summer in the Bluegrass State.
Our next triennial congress will be held at the University of Exeter in 2019 and organized by Emma Cayley, the new international Vice-President of the ICLS. I look forward to serving the ICLS over the next three years and hope to see you in Exeter.
