Abstract: In 1782, Jean-François Grivel, head of a Jansenist teaching community in the Faubourg Saint-Antoine, drew up a huge manuscript gathering all the information that would be useful for his establishment. This work offers a wealth of information on teaching and life in Paris at the end of the Ancien Régime.
