Abstract: David Cronenberg’s films show characters whose corporal transformations confront them with their internal psyche and a redefinition of their perception and identity. Their unconventional personal journeys echo the many possible experiences of transidentity and resonate with transgender and queer people. His films look at the social impact that redefining bodies and humanity represents, beyond any commonly accepted norms.
