Abstract: In this article, the author studies and analyzes how, in Blow Out (1981), Brian de Palma moves the issue of voyeurism from the look to the listening in order to make sound the truth of sound image. First, for this, the film director put the public in a privileged listening position. Then, this film questions about the sound as proof of reality. Finally, he studies how the listening becomes an object of pleasure.
