  • Abstract: The historical relations and aesthetic connections between the Mozambican revolutionary cinema (1966-1987) and the New Latin American cinema of the 1960s and 1970s refer to a process of deletion or crossing of borders and therefore to the very principle of “crossing” in all its variations. These cinemas are connected to each other through the notion of “Liberation Cinema”, as a category that is at once historical and aesthetic, political.
