Abstract: In the Magasin des adolescentes, the liberty is not considered as a simple puerility but as a philosophical and political question that the young ladies want to understand without putting themselves a priori under the dictum of the teacher. As the destiny of the pupils of Mlle Bonne is marriage, the liberty represents a problem. How to think about the personal liberty in a state of subordination? Without being a political treaty for youngsters, the text reminds that the authoress is also a political writer.
