Abstract: This study analyzes the thematic, aesthetic, and intersemiotic techniques used to integrate excerpts from the story J’ai saigné by Blaise Cendrars into the track “Enfant soldat” by the Franco-Senegalese group Ben’Bop. It attempts to first understand the forms taken by the entry of the figure of the child soldier into the literary and musical space, before exploring the emotional and intermedial implications that Cendrars’s text generates within the musical environment.
