Our special report “Cendrars in music” shows the longevity of his work through music, heralded by “Music kiss me” as early as 1916. Major artists from the present day have joined the drive to pay tribute to the globetrotter in 2021, a year that also marks the centennial of Anthologie nègre, a primitivist obsession shared in this instance with Tristan Tzara.
